Recommended circular needle size 3 and 3,5 mm / US 2.5 and 4

4 stitch markers

Gauge 22 sts x 28 rows in pattern on needle size 3,5 mm / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

Procedure
The hat is knitted around, from the bottom to top.
