Recommended circular needle and dpn’s 3½ og 4 mm / US 4 and 6

Gauge 24 sts and 28 rows in stockinette and pattern on needle size 4 mm / US 6 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

IMPORTANT! It is important that knitting gauge is observed in stockinette in pattern. Some knitters may adjust by either going up or down a needle size when working fair isle knitting, to comply with knitting gauge.

Procedure
The mittens are knitted from the bottom up in one piece. Stitches are placed aside for the thumb. The rest of the mitten is then knitted. Sts are picked up and the thumb is knitted in the end.
