Balloon cardigan is a very hot cardigan right now, and extremely popular. It is a knitted cardigan with big balloon shaped sleeves at the wrist. The cardigan is knitted from the top down. In front the cardigan is closed with large buttons. The Balloon cardigan has a short body, which looks great with pants or skirts with a high waist line.

We knit it here in our soft and sustainable yarn Önling No 1, made of merino wool and angora.

Size guide: The Balloon Cardigan has about 15 cm of positive ease built into the pattern instructions. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to a bust circumference of about 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 cm (note that the final measurements of the cardigan are around 15 cm bigger). Measure your bust circumference before deciding which size will fit you the best.

Gauge:21 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 inches in stockinette st on 4 mm (US size 6) needles

Suggested needles:4 mm (US size 6) / 40 and 80-100 cm (32-40 inches) circular needles, 4 mm double pointed needles, or the required needle size to obtain gauge

This yarn kit does not contain the original yarn used by PetiteKnit, but carefully selected yarn that matches the gauge:
300 (350) 350 (350) 450 g Önling No 1, 75% merino wool, 25% angora.
